Perhaps AMD is working on some specific STO fixes, but TBH i have a feeling the majority of problems are coming from people with other problems either with hardware or software outside of STO. FYI: AMDs catalyst team has been tweeting out that Catalyst 10.1 will be released by the end of this month, Catalyst 10.1 is supposed to be a major improvement including the introduction of actual game profiles (like nvidias forceware).

I think the best i've managed so far is 1 or 2 respawns before experiencing a hang.Īttempted to play again last night(first time i've tried in a little while now), had about 30 minutes of enjoyable playtime, died, went to respawn and the game hung the moment i clicked to respawn(had this every time i've tried to play recently), left the game open a good 20 minutes to see if it would become responsive again, but returned to the PC to find the game exactly as i left it, and was forced to end the process via the task manager.ĪTI HD4870 (most current drivers - they were current at the weekend at least) Had this issue since a few updates back and have stopped playing as a result of this issue. Same here, usually crashes(or more specifically hangs) when i try to spawn after playing for anywhere between 5 - 30 minutes.
